The LA Marathon Expo (and Big 5 5k run), brunch at The Griddle Cafe, and then Pearl's birthday at Fogo de Chao.
Two of Kristina's friends ran the 5k affiliated with the LA Marathon-- somehow we arrived before the race was over and before they finished! They had a crazy line for food after the 5k, almost as crazy as the lines inside the (surprisingly small) expo this year.
Brunch at Griddle Cafe followed. The usual ridiculously sized (and very tasty) pancake stacks, plus Dan's omelete that came with a plate full of mashed potatoes. Crazy...
Died for a few hours, then off to look at the full moon (super moon! Brightest one in 18 years, 30% brighter and 14% bigger than usual!) while in Beverly Hills, waiting for Pearl to arrive for her birthday celebration at Fogo de Chao. Pretty big group showed up-- 16 or so people, and we then ate enough Brazilian BBQ to feed a small nation. Extremely delicious Brazilian BBQ. Garlic steak, house special sirlion, bottom sirloin, all soooooooooo good. And the cheese rolls!
Sadly I had to leave early so I probably missed at least half of the festivities... Happy Birthday, Pearl!!!
