Thanksgiving
A so-so breakfast sandwich at bld (it had so much potential!), a surprisingly non-crowded airport for the day before Thanksgiving, the ridiculous new fad of pearl tea places with no seating, some amazing hot pot at Wu Ji's Mala House, and finally, meeting Nik and Amy's new daughter, Baby Sora!
Apparently the Thanksgiving travel hadn't kicked into high gear at LAX or SFO quite yet-- can't complain there. Caught Diana later that night for the pretty good milk foam at Gong Cha (a little too milky/creamy, but interesting all the same) while we stood around with the zillion other customers, then we finally got seated at Wu Ji's Mala Hot Pot for some surprisingly awesome hot pot. House pots or Mala pot (spicy), terrific food, completely awful service, but we knew that going in!
Wrapped things up visiting Nik and Amy, and their new baby, Sora. So many babies lately! Apparently Sora is a night owl, so the after-dinner timing was perfect!
