Much more efficient return to the USA than the trip out-- non-stop HKG-SFO via a very familiar United 747-400. The Regal hotel chain shuttle is efficient, the food court at HKG is quite tasty for an airport food court (Tasty Wonton and Congee Shop, why are you so tempting for airport food?), and the United Club at HKG is probably one of the best United Clubs. They have actual food there, and it's not bad!
Hopefully United will replace their old (if familiar) 747-400's with 777-300ER's or 777-9X's soon, but regardless of the airplane, the flight was packed as usual, and it was a smooth trip back home. Quick layover in SFO, just barely time for a snack, and then one more flight back home! (well, to work...)
