Board games and food
Meeting with Rick at his favorite place for Burmese food, Yoma. Pigged out on the usual tea leaf salad, plus the street pork was excellent!
After a delightful lunch and conversation, stopped by the very average Ladybug Tea House on the way to board games with Christine, Ron, and Sue. And some baked Kit Kats! (more amusing than particularly good-- but hell, t'was a nice new twist on Kit Kats!)
Learning all the rules to Race for the Galaxy was pretty complicated. Might be worth another play-through, but we eventually gave up and switched to Splendor, then to Samuari, which is much more simple-- yet still plenty of opportunity for strategy!
Dinner was Mama's Lu, which does pretty good dumplings and green beans, and a very good Westlake beef soup. Nom nom nom. Wrapped up the night with more food later on at Sam Woo BBQ in Alhambra, which is a bit more greasy and not quite as good as the San Gabriel one-- but hard to argue with a decent beef chow fun!
