Finally made it to the local Taco Plus, where I found mostly forgettable tacos and some decent ceviche. Tacos aren't street tacos, but one size larger (and the price reflects it)-- the carne asada is good, but the carnitas and the chicken were forgettable.
Dinner with Sue and Ophelia at Kula; the usual conveyor belt experience. Not bad were the seared mackerel and the salmon. Went to Blutusk for dessert after, where they do "tusk ice cream"-- basically very light but unusually shaped ice cream cones. Not bad, but not great. The little mini fish manjoo were kinda fun tho.
Opened up Forbidden Desert for the first time after; it's a bit more on the simple side of things, but still complex enough to have good replayability. Digging around in the desert to find parts for an ancient airship, the mechanic is driven by shifting the 5x5 grid of cards around to simulate a sandstorm. Pile on sand cards as the sandstorm moves, deal with running out of water, til you find the airship parts and escape. A solid addition to the collection!
