Disneyland
Simon wanted to get in one more Star Wars Land trip while he still had time. He just wanted to spend the day there and soak it all in.
(moment of appreciation passes)
... being my first visit to Galaxy's Edge of any sort, it was impressive. The details are perfect, the cast is fully into it, and the whole experience is complete. You go from the reality of the world into the theme park that is Disneyland, frantically click the app at the exact second opening begins to get your boarding pass for Rise of the Resistance, then when you do mosey into Galaxy's Edge...
You enter a different world.
Others have covered both rides and Galaxy's Edge in more detail than I ever could. Suffice it to say it's an enjoyable half day experience for those who like this sort of thing. It can stretch to most of a full day if you enjoy the Play Disney app for all the additional interactive bits on offer and you really enjoy Star Wars. Even if you don't drink, Oga's Cantina is worth a stop. And yes, do stay after sunset if you can to soak in the experience-- lights and lightsabres alike.
Late dinner afterwards at BWON Shabu and BBQ. t'was alright, can't expect much from AYCE. And to be clear, no relation!
