May 2, 2008: April's first gallery is an Ars meet and a UCLA Final Four party. One gallery: brunch in Venice, Will Foster's birthday, UCLA Run/Walk 5K, and dim sum at Capital Seafood. Exploring the Petersen auto museum again.
May 1, 2008: Pictures from a walking tour of Los Angeles' historic core. Various spelling errors fixed and other minor things.
April 9, 2008: Hiking Devil's Chair. Next up, Cheston and Angie's wedding. Soon to come: historic walking tour of downtown LA.
April 7, 2008: Pearl's birthday gallery is up.
April 6, 2008: March galleries are going up now-- rock climbing take 4 at Echo Cliffs and the Star Trek Tour.
March 6, 2008: Pictures from Presidents' Day weekend at Mammoth.
March 4, 2008: February ends with visiting Keith and the new Chipotle in Westwood.
March 3, 2008: Going-away party for Ulrich, Francis and Camille's engagement party plus Superbowl Sunday (w/Rock Band), then a quick Ars meet in Hollywood. More outings with Pearl: Ruth Chris' Steakhouse for DineLA Restaurant week, plus Magic Mountain. Rock climbing at Echo Cliffs, take 3, then more climbing (UCLA Dangling Bruin) combined with Amy's visit.
February 29, 2008: Vacation! China: Beijing and Hong Kong.
January 26, 2008: Climbing at Malibu Creek, take 3, combined with Tara's birthday.
January 25, 2008: New Year's Eve 2007 pictures are up. Welcoming 2008 with whipped cream!! ... uh... did that sound dirty?
January 24, 2008: Rock climbing at Malibu Creek and then Alicia's birthday are up, as well as two dinners, one with Leif-Eric and Eun-young, the other for Jenn's birthday, plus Christmas.
January 2, 2008: Finished up the pictures from South Korea and China. Enjoy!
January 1, 2008: Pictures from the trip to South Korea and China this past October are about 2/3rds up-- all of Seoul, South Korea and Nanjing, China are up. The third and final leg in Shanghai is still in progress.

December 18, 2007: On the water in Marina Del Rey is the SSC Holiday Party.
December 9, 2007: The second Saturday in November is UCLA vs. ASU, plus Billy and Amy's housewarming party. Next weekend is meeting with old time Maxima club members, then Heather C.'s birthday in the evening. Thanksgiving weekend w/cousin Jason's wedding. Birthday dinner for the Hacketts followed up by Joycelyn's birthday.
December 6, 2007: Hotdogs at Pink's and then wine tasting, take 2 at Irina's.
December 4, 2007: Justin's visit, Day 3 are up, including the Ferrari exhibit at the Petersen Automotive Museum.
December 3, 2007: Photos from the Japanese Classic Car Show in Long Beach posted at vq30de.net.
November 9, 2007: Rock climbing at Mystery Science Theater and Viet's birthday end September. Alpine Village's mini-Oktoberfest, Billy and Simon's birthdays, and Justin's visit Day 1 start the first half of October.
November 8, 2007: Sam's visit Day 8 is MOCA, Grand Central Market, and Nextfest; plus some random Korean BBQ pictures thrown in. A trip to the Bay Area for an Ars meet follows, then Cecile's birthday.
November 6, 2007: Sam's visit days 3 and 4: Stoney Point (rock climbing), Santa Monica and the beach. Day 4 is Japantown and downtown.
November 5, 2007: A busy weekend: Saturday is UCLA vs. Washington football and partying as well as the first day of Sam's visit to pick up his camera, then Sunday is Huntington Gardens and Hollywood Bowl (Underworld, Paul Oakenfold).
October 9, 2007: Random photos with Sam's Canon 1D Mark III and 24/1.4L.
October 8, 2007: Camping in Yosemite over Labor Day weekend.
September 18, 2007: Trip to the East Coast pictures are up-- New York and Pennsylvania.
September 15, 2007: Mickey's visit, Annie and Bill's birthday, Barry's barbeque, and random pictures from UCLA/Westwood mixed in with a trip to the Ahmanson.
September 9, 2007: This is what happens when you go on vacation... lots of pictures accumulate. First sets up are dinner at Pearl's, then Fourth of July, then Sherry and David's wedding, hiking San Gabriel Peak and then Smith Mountain from way back in July. Wicked at the Pantages made for a fun mid-week outing.
July 11, 2007: Out on Sunset Blvd, then more food, then Kwik-E-Mart!
June 24, 2007: Pictures from the China/Hong Kong trip are up.
June 17, 2007: Leif-Eric and Eun-Young plan dinner at Flame in Westwood, followed by cake!
June 12, 2007: Bej and Sophia's joint birthday, then Brian's birthday. June should have plenty more on the way.
June 11, 2007: Rock climbing at Stoney Point, take 8, UCLA Geography's von Humboldt dinner, and Shen's birthday finish up May.
June 7, 2007: Carley's graduation and the UCLA Run/Walk pictures, as well as camping over Memorial Day weekend at Lassen Volcanic National Park.
May 21, 2007: Food, Pinnacle Peak Steakhouse, then Sushi Masu. NCAA Final Four party, UCLA Football Spring Scrimmage, rock climbing at Echo Cliffs. Dim sum twice the next weekend, helping Pearl move, a mid-week trip to UCSB. End of April weekend: a visit from Erik and scuba diving off Anacapa Island. May leads off with Mike's Birthday and then lots of food: tofu and dim sum, with helping Pearl move in-between!
March 14, 2007: Leif-Eric and Eun-Young organize dinner again, this time at Versailles.
March 11, 2007: Pearl's housewarming party pictures are up.
March 9, 2007: Skiing at Big Bear-- well Snow Summit to be specific.
March 5, 2007: Concert time again: Snow Patrol at Gibson Ampitheater.
February 25, 2007: More food. Always more tasty food! (McCormick and Schmidt's, plus dim sum at Capital Seafood)
February 21, 2007: Lots of pictures! Dinner with Leif and then dinner back in the Bay Area, the weekend in-between with Nick and Emily's wedding, and then February begins. Mammoth with Northrop Grumman, then the usual President's Day ski/snowboard trip, this year to Mammoth as well.
January 28, 2007: No, 2007 is not off to a slow start, I've just been gone too much to post updates. BBQing/Wii/Ars meet the first Saturday of 2007, then off to Chicago for a few days, and finally, Nick Keezer's bachelor party in Vegas.
January 27, 2007: the rest of the 2006 updates: Alicia's birthday, followed by Rockreation and Sawtelle Blvd. with the Tsais, and at last, Christmas!.
January 12, 2007: Bej and Weixian's wedding pictures, as well as New Year's Eve in Tahoe.

December 11, 2006: Rock climbing, Doug's birthday, and Kean's visit all together in the same handful of days, then Frances and Jenn's birthday potluck.

November 28, 2006: Updates galore.. finished! Viet's Birthday wraps up September. October is: a trip to LACMA, Billy and Amy's wedding back in the Bay Area, Korean BBQ and Oktoberfest, hiking San Gorgonio and Halloween the same day, and West Hollywood on Halloween itself. November is: Bej's bachelor party, a concert with Pet Shop Boys at The Wiltern LG, UCLA vs. OSU football and the Taste of Lexus, two birthdays for coworkers. Wine tasting part 1 and part 2. Thanksgiving weekend!
November 21, 2006: Hiking Calabasas Peak and then Thomas singing the national anthem pictures are up. Dinner pictures are also up.
November 20, 2006: Apologies for the massive delays due to hardware failures and subsequent major SNAFU's at Aetheri/Leafyhost. I have expressed my displeasure... and sadly my Moveabletype database remains down. 40 days and counting. *$)@#@. September pictures are finally coming, though: rock climbing at Stoney Point and Malibu Creek, the UCLA vs. Rice game the same day as Stoney Point, hiking Mt. Wilson, and two days of dim sum.
September 6, 2006: Pictures from Joel's visit are up, along with karaoke from the Friday before.
September 5, 2006: Woohoo. The Roadtrip to New York galleries are all up!
Septmeber 4, 2006: Day 8 pictures are up.
September 3, 2006: Roadtrip to New York day 6 and day 7 are up.
September 2, 2006: Two or three galleries should be up soon, but right now the Roadtrip to New York galleries are being added. Currently days 1 and 2 are up, days 3 and 4 are up, and day 5 is up. The rest are in progress!
July 31, 2006: Somehow I forgot some June birthday pictures. That error is fixed, plus Leif-Eric's visit is uploaded.
July 17, 2006: Pictures from 4th of July, from Barry's birthday in Vegas, and then a gallery of random pictures.
July 12, 2006: May and early June updates, minus Erasure: return to Stoney Point on a Friday, then the immediately following weekend with Nick's birthday and a visit to Tick Rock. The next weekend is a Bej's birthday and then Gina's graduation. The end of May is Memorial Day weekend with Alan's graduation and BBQ'ing at Barry's place. Nick and Emily's engagement party, then Brian's birthday, then back to Stoney Point. Whew! And there's still more...
July 11, 2006: Still need to post those Erasure concert pictures. =( In the meantime, much of the backlog is being cleared-- although it's grown in the last few weeks, too. Ouch!
June 3, 2006: they're here! Pictures from Malaysia are up. Actually they've been up, the indexes, however, are finally finished!
May 1, 2006: Pictures from Venice Beach, then indoor rock climbing at UCLA, some outdoor climbing at Echo Cliffs, and swing dancing for Angela's birthday.
February 28, 2006: President's Day weekend up in Lake Tahoe, then some random pictures from the following weekend.
February 24, 2006: February birthdays: Amy's and Mike's.
February 16, 2006: Dinner at Ragin' Cajun' with Barry and friends, then Catalina Island to finish scuba certification.
January 26, 2006: Adriana's birthday, plus a busy weekend of eating and clubbing.
January 24, 2006: Oops, forgot to list these! Swing dancing at Sugarfoot Stomp, then Tara and Chris' birthdays. At least two more galleries to follow!
January 20, 2006: Two days after New Year's Eve is a trip to Monterey Park for dim sum. The weekend immediately after is a trip to Tahoe for skiing.
January 11, 2006: Jian-hui's going-away party, Alicia's birthday, rock climbing at Stoney Point again (take 4!), and pictures from Christmas. Quite a bit more is in the works.

November 30, 2005: This takes care of most of things-- for now. The trip back to the Bay Area for Thanksgiving, then back early on Sunday for Joycelyn's birthday.
November 29, 2005: Updates. Lots of them! Daniel and Erick's birthday, a nice hike up Mt. San Jacinto, dinner with Jianhui and Kean, then Thomas and Umi's birthday.
November 28, 2005: Pictures from U2 in Vegas and Oakland are up.
November 22, 2005: U2 videos are posted on my secondary site, vq30de.net, for both Vegas and Oakland.
November 21, 2005: Leftover from October is Stoney Point pictures. Moving (yes, more moving!) pictures follow along with the Taste Of Lexus event. Plenty more pictures in the works...
November 4, 2005: October is (almost) done. One more to go, but in the meantime: Sudeep's birthday and music jam, Justin's birthday adventure *ahem*, and Halloween.
October 23, 2005: The backlog is up. Moving, minature golf, party at Constant's, rock climbing at Point Dume. Concert madness, birthdays, and football madness for the second weekend of October. Third weekend is a massive SoCal Ars meet.
September 20, 2005: Mid-Autumn Festival dinner in Monterey Park. Los Angeles Ars Technica meet.
September 15, 2005: Kim's moving away dinner at Barney's Burgers. Leftovers from August: lots of eating and fun, then hiking Strawberry Peak.

August 5, 2005: Additional CSS tweaks. The Stoney Point Part II and Garbage @ OC Fair galleries are test cases for updating the photo galleries into the current CSS template, rather than the old table-based one. If you catch any problems, let me know!
August 2, 2005: Back at Stoney Point for rock climbing.
July 28, 2005: Grace's birthday, then to prove I can't get enough concerts, Garbage at the OC Fair.
July 17, 2005: UCLA Commencement 2005 and Barry's birthday. A severe lack of pictures from 4th of July presents a few problems...
June 30, 2005: Carley's birthday at Lindygroove is up. I think that clears up the backlog for a bit. Sadly, there are no pictures from Erik's birthday this year. I just couldn't get the time off.
June 29, 2005: Rock climbing at Stoney Point pictures are up. Carley's birthday pictures are next in the queue.
June 14, 2005: Second birthday is Brian's birthday.
June 9, 2005: June's birthday storm arrives. First, Sophia's birthday. More to follow...
June 7, 2005: Haven't seen Eileen in a while, so decided to hang out before she moves to New York.

April 13, 2005: Concert number three this year (heck, this April) is Garbage at the Wiltern.

March 16, 2005: Okay! The rest are here... Dim sum with Viet/Billy/Cheston and the crowd I hadn't seen in a while. Joel came down to visit, then we had Nathan's birthday in Chinatown. The final gallery update leftover from the long backlog of many galleries is a day out with Barry and the usual, first out at an Evo meet, then out at dinner...
March 14, 2005: The season's big ski trip this year was to Mammoth. The following weekend, we hit Mt. Baldy.
February 14, 2005: Autoshow In Motion at Hollywood Park pictures are up.
February 6, 2005: The links page has been updated for the first time since May 2003. The spread of blogs means the number of links seems to have tripled or quadrupled, wow!
February 4, 2005: Skiing at Big Bear.
February 2, 2005: GM Autoshow In Motion and many other things from a busy January weekend. Actually the last part seems redudant-- every weekend this year has been pretty busy.
January 19, 2005: Dinner as planned by Sophia.

December 29, 2004: We actually had a breather of a few weeks- still going out, but nothing special. Plus the whole work thing sort of snowballed all my remaining free time... Thomas's birthday and ski trip pictures in early December, followed by Alicia's birthday pictures the day after skiing. The ever-important Christmas pictures cannot be forgotten either.
November 24, 2004: Thomas and Umi (Francis)'s birthday at Buca di Beppo pictures are up.
November 15, 2004: Cheston and Kim's birthday dinner pictures are up.
November 14, 2004: Ars meet photos from The Getty and El Cholo are up (FYI: not a normal gallery link). Included are a handful of other photos too.

July 25, 2004: The page you're reading-- the What's New/Site History page, is updated to the new look. As usual, the XHTML/CSS conversion means some old, non-compliant code is broken, so I had to fix that...
July 23, 2004: The XHTML 1.0/CSS 2.0 conversion of the site is finally doing something again. Check out the Gallery index page, the front page look has taken one-year (May 6, 2003 start) to finally spread. We'll see how long the rest takes, now that I've got some more of the bugs worked out...
July 20, 2004: Finally. SERCA National Convention 2004 pictures are up over at VQ30DE.net. Sorry for taking forever, but my pictures seemed pretty redundant after everyone else's work, so I didn't feel too bad if no one saw them, so I took my time. =)

September 20, 2003: Finally got an old gallery up. Post-finals last year... the other galleries I promised last week still aren't up yet-- they're massive in size on average, 70+ pictures each, so I'm taking my time...
September 11, 2003: Well, I've taken too many pictures and had too much to do, so there was another update dry spell. We'll see if I can clear it sooner, rather than later, as I have a LOT of pictures to put up... August is Potluck time again. September brings Labor Day Weekend and Party in Redondo Beach...

May 1, 2003: Notification is recieved from thewebhost that they have experienced catastrophic server failure, which in combination with decreased sales, means they're closing on May 10. Time to find a new host... Mike @ thewebhost, it's been great!
April 20, 2003: Pictures from yesterday's baseball game are up-- we saw the SF Giants play the LA Dodgers.
April 18, 2003: New pictures up from yesterday's potluck, held over at the usual place. :)

January 12, 2003: Los Angeles at Night pictures are up. It was extremely foggy on my drive back home from Westwood last night. I'm not that far from Westwood, but I headed home and the fog rolled in. In some areas, visibility was down to 100 feet or so. I'd say that off of the major streets and their kilowatts of electric lights, visibility was maybe 300 feet on average. It made driving really dangerous, but the fog made for some pretty pictures!
January 11, 2003: Happy New Year... for real, this time. Updates are late, I know. Picture updates: Three birthdays... plus Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers organized by Constant, and to top it off, Thuy's Christmas Potluck. This is only half the galleries to go up this weekend...

January 21, 2001: Debating which other photo collections to add. Been doing quite a bit of work building PCs lately so some new stuff in the Computers section should appear sooner or later. Just depends how I prioritize things. Oh yeah, Honda Accord LX 5-speeds are much less stable at high speeds than compared to their bigger brother, the Acura 3.2TL 5-speed auto... just an interesting observation. I thought the Accord would be more stable than it was 'cause of the genes those two cars share! :)

January 18th, 2000: SE-R.net pictures from their minimeet on 16 January are up!
January 17th, 2000: Dyno Day pictures up from the Maxima.org meet on the 8th of January. It was actually a meet of Maxima/SE-R/Supra guys.... and a Viper. :) The Maximas laid down excellent numbers-- I think Mike's 3rd gen auto did 160fwhp (more?) with intake/y-pipe/exhaust, while Maxwell's 97SE 5-spd did ~188 fwhp (intake/y-pipe/exhaust) and Redline's 00SE 5-spd did ~190fwhp stock! Andrew and Luis's SE-Rs did 136hp and ~145hp respectively if memory serves correctly, while the Supras did 300+hp (303 stock on a SupraTT!) and the Viper did like 450hp/499# torque. Correction factor was 0.95 for the day.

December 31st, 1999: "Friends" section of my site has had pictures on it for a while now. Finals (all 3 within a single 24 hour period, OUCH) took a lot out of me... and so now I'm at home, preparing for a New Year's Party. If you know my number, call me up and come on by!
December 7th, 1999: Apologies for the LONG delay in updates. Misunderstandings with the Dragonfire administration resulted in the inability to update my page, although it was still up. Other minor updates as well.

October 13th, 1999: Adding a section on my Chenbro "Genie" case-- it's a case designed for massive cooling, which means it fits me to a "t." Check it out HERE. In the meantime, aside from moving back to my dorm, starting classes, and stuff... I also dynoed my Saturn (see the graph) before I left, just for fun. I've got some pics of my dorm room too, I'll post those when I get the chance.
September 5th, 1999: Been busy at work, among other things.... but it's Labor Day weekend!!! BBQ time. :) Also some Maxima pictures are up from the NorCal Maxima.org meet, right here. I also went on a scanning crazy last night and finished scanning my Stillen Open House pictures and other stuff. Look for it within the next two days.
August 8th, 1999: Again, a long delay between updates. Finals sucked but I'm still alive. I'm also selling Celeron 366 CPUs overclocked to 550mhz, e-mail me if interested. Been working and lots of othere stuff too, which means I haven't had much time lately to do anything to my site. I do web design at work so when I come home the last thing I want to see is more HTML!

June 2nd, 1999: Well, this Memorial Day was interesting... almost everyone went home, so UCLA decided to take advantage of that fact and turn off the power to the dorms on Sunday morning. Being the techie I am, I have a UPS hooked up to my computer and I forgot to program it to shut down my system automatically, so at 8:30am when the power went off, I awoke to a LOUD beeping noise... heh...
May 21st, 1999: Saw STAR WARS: EPISODE I: The Phantom Menace yesterday! Tons of people in line... very crazy!!!! Very good- not excellent or perfect by any means- movie though, especially since it's part of a trilogy. Anyway. Umm, back to homework and studying, midterms are next week! More details later...
May 10th, 1999: Ugh. Things have been rough. Winter Quarter sucked big time. Spring Break was good, and now I'm halfway through Spring Quarter-- things are MUCH better than Winter Quarter, but still... I'll see! I can't wait for June 18th, when the quarter ends for me!! Still, I am fairly busy this quarter so I'll see about updates-- I hope to do them at least every other week.
February 11th, 1999: Oops, sorry about the lack of updates. My schedule means I spend Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights doing homework. It sucks! Midterms this week and last week haven't helped either, but I survived!
January 15th, 1999: I got my classes! But being on campus from 11-6, 8-6, and 11-6 sucks big time.
January 11th, 1999: Back at UCLA... Winter Quarter will be a pain-- I don't have all my classes yet! Got to go fight for the last two tomorrow...

October 7th, 1998: I thought I was settled into UCLA a few days ago, but I guess I won't ever be really settled into my dorm until I can move my nice warm bed from home into it. HAH! I wish... classes aren't too bad and most of the people I've met have been nice; LA itself isn't so hot though (I need a car!). Still, if you're deciding between schools... remember, the atmosphere is very important!! My new computer setup took four days and was hampered significantly by an unexpected bad set of of soundcards and some stupid late-night mistakes. However, it's working now and I am happy to say that between Erik and I, we probably have two of the most powerful and capable systems owed by UCLA students! (I mean students who bought their own computers, not people whose parents bought them quad Xeon-450 systems.....) My "Who? Me?" page has been updated as well.

September 2nd, 1998: I've been enlarging the ventilation holes on my case, in preparation for my upgrade to a Pentium II processor and 7200rpm SCSI harddisk. No further heat problems with my system, but working all day doesn't leave much time to fool around with it anymore!
August 30th, 1998: No, my computer was fine today... but my discman stopped reading CD-Rs earlier. Doh! It works now... anyway, I've been burning CDs all week for Crystal Computer and I worked 50 hours last week, so I haven't had much time to do anything!
August 27th, 1998: Wing Commander: Secret Ops is out!!! 115mb full download (got to love the T3 at work!), but it's free and it's pretty darned good!

Oh yeah, for those of you who don't have access to my Senior Ball section... it was fun! If you can afford it, have your Senior Ball on a yacht... it's nice. And go with a friend, too. More fun that way than going with someone you don't know!

May 10th, 1998: Use of CGI scripts at this site is initiated. Over the past two weeks, CGI scripts to enable a comments form, hostname posting, and logging have been added. This is to prepare for future additions, such as a message board and the long-overdue graphical and content redesign.

April- Spring Break: Well, not too much happened... visited CalPoly SLO, decided that I liked UCLA better so I applied to UCLA!, and watched Dragonfire go down for an effective period of almost two days (20 hours over two days), which completely killed my plans to update this website! Argh!!!
April 1st, 1998: I just got in to UCLA!!!! Not my intended major though, so CalPoly SLO remains my first choice... Also, the IHS Space Science Technology Magnet Seniors went on a field trip today, to Castle Air Force Base for Aviation Camp! It was pretty fun, especially since the SST seniors had never done anything together!
March 30th, 1998: Terence Ramos is going to be setting up a page for all of our fellow psychopaths, er, Humanities students. In addition to my redesign scheduled for April 10-17 which will include poetry from Kim Le and other new features, our Humanities classes should be well represented on the internet!
March 24th and 25th, 1998: The Chinese Club Multicultural Presentation!
March 17th, 1998: Looks like my next major update (whenever that is, hopefully April though!) will add several new sections, including Kim's Poetry Corner, with poetry from Kim Le and probably other people....
March, 1998: Very nasty month... just really busy, basically... so no updates for a while.
February, 1998: Humanities newscasts were completed in February and were turned in on February 25th. Whew! Newscasts were on the middle ages (800-1350AD), with the two classes divided into groups who each shot 25 minute long videos. They were fun for some groups, stressful for others... but they're over now!
End of January: I got the single "Rain Plus" from Erasure. I haven't seen the lyrics to the new b-side, First Contact, yet so I'm posting them here.

Huong, May, Nguyen, Theresa, and Thomas are back for Thanksgiving!!! We played video games with those who were still here (Andrew, Brian, Barry, Jen, and Spencer), watched movies and played pool! Not out of the ordinary, but we had fun!
Hmm... first off, Thanksgiving is coming up! Hopefully we will be able to have a little get-together or something...
Crystal Computer is introducing a new soundcard soon, the Crystalizer TidalWave128. I've had one for a while, and it's pretty nice, with a very nice price!
