Seoul Soul BBQ
UCLA Staff Assembly hosted the UCLA People-Animal Connection at the UCLA Library today. Opal and Bart are both good pups who love taking care of people, with Opal in particular being very open and relaxed to pets.
Dinner with coworkers at Seoul Soul BBQ many hours later. Been a while since we'd had a work outing to all you can eat Korean BBQ, and true to their reputation, Seoul Soul did not disappoint for AYCE kbbq. Their lower-end menu A and menu B were both reasonably priced, out of consideration for affordability, we skipped their highest-end menu C, which meant we missed out on their excellent galbi. They're a tad smoky inside, a bit dark, excellent beef tongue and brisket. Rib meat was good too, and Joe did a bang-up job with the intestine. Thin sliced pork belly hit the spot too, although the banchan game was just average.
Add in that they have parking (at least before the little lot fills up), and they are a solid place for AYCE kbbq.
Madison recommended Boba Grande afterwards. They have a very busy parking lot and massive drinks, up to 32oz. Clearly here for quantity and not quality!
