Fooding
Like a few newer Hong Kong-style cafes, Alice's Kitchen is very stylish inside, with a ton of hype. The food I found to just be okay, although they've got most of the basics-- pineapple buns, chow mein, HK-style-breakfast meals, not just deep fried tofu but deep fried chicken wings and calamari (chopped much larger than the American take on it). They are very busy, backing onto a shared parking lot that gets full, plus some street parking that actually has shade -- and was less busy than I expected.
Christina and Stanley took us over to Hechalou for milk tea next. t'was quite good, plenty parking shared with 99 Ranch, and just enough seating... although being literally inside a 99 Ranch, it's a very casual atmosphere.
Dune: Imperium was a much more reasonable experience than last week's Terraforming Mars extended session. Sue still won handily, but felt much more approachable. And was nice that Rebecca finally came by to see Christina and Stanley's new place and to meet Ender.
