Q's BBQ
Last minute post-SEMA event at Q and Christine's place. They cooked up a storm as always-- delicious, especially the garlic noodles, steak, and chicken! ICOOH did some vehicle 3D scanning as well for new product development, taking full advantage of Q's garage space (love it!). And of course, Q and Christine's new place is massive and great for parties-- got the full tour, and holy cow. If they ever finish their yard it's going to be crazy.
Follow-up dinner (not that I had room, especially after all the food, including the Fat + Flour banana cream pie) at Gui BBQ with Jason. Gui BBQ had just over an hour wait, which actually worked out as that gave me time to digest and get hungry again. Their seasoned beef and seasoned lamb skewers were both excellent and very affordable, the pork belly and pork jowl good but not quite as good. Veggie and mushroom skewers were solid as well, and the sesame noodle was a nice addition. Don't forget the spicy peanuts either!
Lelecha for mango coconut drink after was pretty tasty, wished I had gotten there earlier to try the milk teas. Lucked out and just beat the crowd, although they too had a bit of a wait after we'd ordered. With the unevenness of all the Chinese skewer and Korean skewer places these days, am happy that Gui BBQ remains a solid option.
