Fooding
Marty's Hamburger Stand is a classic Los Angeles old-school hamburger stand. Not sure if they're anything special per se, but they are tasty enough, especially if you want a mound of fresh french fries and a hot dog or pastrami added to your burger.
Next day, smashburger at Burger She Wrote. Quite disappointed, they were out of french fries (how???), kitchen was slow, and the burger itself, while fine, didn't live up to their reputation. Inside has a handful of counter seats, a bit more seating outdoors.
With such a disappointing experience at Burger She Wrote, went to Noodle Art at The Original Farmers' Market at The Grove. Noodle Art was also disappointing, with a vinegary Qishan-style noodle with bits of chopped potato (?) in addition to chopped pork. It was less disappointing than Burger She Wrote at least, which was a plus?
