UCLA DataX + IDRE Research in the Age of AI symposium at UCLA Faculty Center. Some excellent talks on how to actually use/interact with AI-- prompt engineering, data source/data quality limitations in particular were highlights of the last two talks.

Was good to catch up with Ben and Lisa from OARC, Cody from DTS, Caroline from TLC, retired Provost Jim Davis, and others.

Dinner after work was at First Szechuan Wok, which was even more terrible than I remember. Fish and veggies were actually okay, the egg flower soup was awful.
