Independence Day
Random bit of things for Fourth of July-- checking out the neighbor's TRD-modified Toyota Tundra, complete with TRD supercharger, TRD/Stoptech big brakes, sway bars, Bilsteins, exhaust, etc. Throw in some airline swag from my last few trips, then finally, kicking off 4th of July celebrations proper with grilling and board games.
Sue and Ophelia brought over a newer version of Flip 7, Flip 7: With a Vengeance, which is much meaner to your competitors. Still a quick learn and fun game, and an easier learn than the more cute but definitely more quirky Hot Streak that they also brought over.
Grilling was hamburgers, sausages, and corn. Add in Mara's excellent pork ribs, Christine's Patisserie Too dan tat, Matt's mashed potatoes and Michelle's Krispy Kreme, and we had a ton of food. Can't forget the Flannery Beef dry aged ribeyes or the Snake River Farms gold grade New York strips either. Too much food but not too crazy excess, and sadly, cannot say it was a fair comparison between Flannery Beef and Snake River Farms, as they were different cuts, different thicknesses, and I overcooked the Flannery Beef ribeyes as they were crazy thick (even with a thermometer-- sigh).
Still a great time by everyone, even if we all ate too much!
