Bangladesh
Had some time to stretch out the usual mileage run by an extra few days, so decided to tick another country off the list, Bangladesh. With the capital, Dhaka, being a metropolis of 36 million people, I expected it to be an experience, and it absolutely was.
Debated spending more time there than I actually did, but due to flight times and what not, decided to play it safe and have an overnight layover in Singapore on the way back-- plus that let me work remotely, saving a day off.
Days 1 and 2: heading to Bangladesh via Singapore, aka three flights including one long haul from San Francisco to Singaopore on United Airlines, and a late night arrival in Dhaka and a nice room at the Le Meridien by the airport.
Day 3: day tour of Dhaka, where a bunch of stuff was closed, add in some rain, and consequently things ended up a tad abbreviated.
Day 4: super late night departure means a very early arrival to Singapore, fun visiting the Powers family, and more rain.
Day 5: late night food scene, then an early departure, some terrible airport food, and my first time in United's new Polaris Studio on the return.
