Enjoyed one last sunrise before heading to the airport. In what seemed to be an ongoing theme for the trip, had another flight delay that was not announced until we were at the gate-- but at least it wasn't too long of a delay, and gave just enough time to browse the duty free section at the airport that we otherwise felt that we were missing.
Catering out of Australia is always better than average for United, and both the shrimp linguine as well as Diana's steak were excellent. Still won't mistake business class on United for, say, first class on Emirates, but was still a very good meal, and a smooth flight back home. The mid-flight tapas (shrimp and bok choy with rice, as well as butter chicken and rice) were a bit salty, but also hit the spot.
Always a bit sad to come home, but after being away for so long, was also nice to be home. Happy Birthday, Diana!
