Turns out today was a beautiful morning. Kinda chilly day though. I don't think I did so well on my stats midterm (then again anything below a 90 in that class is "horribly bad" for me =) )... but I got an A in my geography 4 class and turned in a decent geography 144 paper. Also, walking home tonight... I'm dressed all in black, I've got headphones on, and I'm walking at full speed trying to make it home in time to watch Star Trek. Right outside Rite Aid, I see Erik, then 30 seconds later I see Margaret and Kimberly! Woah... CRAZY! :-)

"Friends" section is updated too. Also, even more geek pr0n, aka an ALR 6x6 box this time. Drool.

Well the sun hasn't risen yet so I don't know if today will be a beautiful day or not, but my paper's just about done. Woohoo! =)

First all-nighter of the quarter is tonight. Fortunately for me it's probably the only all-nighter as well, and I got to do plenty of cheating- aka I took a couple naps tonight. It's 4:50am and my Geography 144 paper is a little more than 60% done. Cool stuff, but I've also got a Stats midterm in about 7 hours that I need to study for. I'll crank out the rest of the Geo144 rough draft now, then spend the next couple hours studying for stats-- thank goodness for the 1 page of notes he allows us on the test. If I can pull another A on my stats midterm, I'm basically done with stats for the quarter! =) Then this afternoon I can finish my Geo144 paper.

I could have started this earlier (Sunday night), but what's life without a little pressure? ... and yeah, I'm crazy... I know... :-/
*knock*knock* Uhoh... seems Vince locked himself out again. =p

Oh. Poster projects started today in Geography 2... one person who had to present today didn't show up. His partner is a pretty loud, emotional girl... so I wouldn't be surprised to see a bloodstain on the wall outside of class about his size. hee hee. =þ

Paper and a midterm left to study for... one paper done, one homework assignment done. Ugh. I don't wanna study either. Argh. Yahoo! Groups is acting weird too. I'm not getting e-mail sent to me from it to my brian1.net addy. I guess I'll put that on my list of stuff to figure out for the rest of the week. And Barry's having strange computer problems with Win2k. *sigh*

On the upside, the Ars Technica System Guide is finally updated with my update. WOOHOO! =) Too bad it's a month old... ugh... I was going do a new one next week! =þ Feel free to comment on the Ars System Guide. Any response from continuum is a response from me... Also on the upside, it didn't rain today, I got out early from my 5-7pm class, and it wasn't cold. =)

Hmm, I thought I had some of *my* MP3's at home... I guess not... Drove home with Erik and Nick last night. Covered ~320 miles in 4.75 hours or so- got low on gas so we had to stop before we made it to Nick's place. It seems leaving the AC running the entire trip killed my hopes of a 28mpg tank of gas. The constant 75mph+ speed probably didn't help either, as I know the occasional bursts to 90mph+ couldn't have done us any good. In 6 hours, including a stop at Nick's house and a stop for gas, we made it up to Walnut Creek and back to San Jose, covering about 400 miles. Not bad at all.

Going home after class today. WOOHOO!!! Finished stats homework, doing some work on my website right now actually... going to put some galleries up in the morning, finally. =) Anyway, I've been up for 38 hours (minus a catnap in the car) so it's time for bed... no geography sections tomorrow means I only have 1 class from 4-5pm! =)

The crazy week begins... class today including frantic preparation for essays and midterms next week, figuring out a few minor mysteries (car issues, history of the universe in picosecond increments, why college students have so much credit card debt, why people can be so naive, my broken Adaptec 39160, etc. etc. etc.), and wondering where I will squeeze in sleep this weekend...

Oh yeah. UCLA lost to USC 27-0. Waaaaaaaaaaaaah!!! *rowr* That really disturbs me... I think I'll have to go listen to some U2 to get my mind off the subject...

Ugh. Too much is happening this week! And next week! And the week after! AMD Athlon XP event I went to a few posts down, UCLA vs. USC game, and lots of studying to do for papers and midterms in the next two weeks... plus going home for Thanksgiving. Argh!!

I think I'm going to go to ground this weekend and get some rest before things go totally crazy. Going home will be great, but I can guarantee that I won't get nearly enough homework done while home...

I find this amusing... one of my friend's away messages is "be RIGHT back!!" and pretty often she's been away for over an hour. =) Even more amusing when you compare to some of my other friends... they're just away, and don't give a damn about telling you how soon they will be back!

I should be in bed already, but one of the guys I live with was watching TV, and I was busy cleaning the K&N air filter for my car about two hours ago (only took 30 minutes)... but anyway, definitely bedtime.

From Erik's playlist. heh. =) His mom is visiting LA on a business trip, so he's showing his mom his apartment. I thought he'd clean it before she came over, but then again it's already pretty clean compared to my place (well the bathroom anyway!).

Hmm... UCLA vs. USC game this weekend... need to start a Geography 144 paper... need to study more in general for all my classes, and I need to work on my car. Argh. Well okay I don't have to work on my car, but the boxes of car parts are getting annoying. =) Main thing is the reading for this week- I haven't done enough work in Geo144...

I've been listening to this song like crazy... and I don't know why. Maybe it's similar to my Pet Shop Boys - A Different Point of View thing I went through a while ago. Just to follow up on the slacking bit, I rented Enemy at the Gates the other night. Very good movie. Over the weekend I saw Cecil B. Demented and also A Better Tomorrow with Erik, Helma, Nick, and Pete. Talk about getting no work done...

Went to the AMD Athlon XP giveaway at Fry's in Burbank... got up at 4am. Didn't win anything, and the constant AMD and Fry's self-promotion got beyond annoying-- it was stupid! The odds weren't bad though, maybe 1 in 50 or 1 in 60. It'd almost be worth going to again, because I'm just a sucker for free stuff. Lots of people are. =) Anyway I've been up for 21 hours now, I'm going to try to go to bed soon. I need to do more studying and less playing- no slacking is allowed this quarter!

This scares me... although I already know I'm addicted. =)

Finished an AD&D campaign tonight with Erik, Pete, Mike, and Nick (and Nick #2)- we put, uh, what, 30+ hours into this? 40+ hours? Lots of fun, but the curse of bad dice rolls for fortitude saves stuck again at the end. ARGH! heh. It was fun!

Week is finally over... yay! I don't envy Nick at the moment. He and Pete are going to wake up to 20-odd beer cans and a minor mess in the kitchen when they wake up. Pete, when drunk, makes a very big *ss of himself. It doesn't lend to clean kitchens or the safety of any alcohol not already in his stomach.

Long weekend, too, for Veteran's Day. A day in salute to those who serve our country.

As for me. Have some fun, read the tons of reading I have to do (what's up with my profs and reading? Every few weeks a prof will go psycho and assign 300+ pages of reading in a week!), work on my car if it doesn't rain, update my webpage, fix my computer. Hmm that's a lot of stuff, and I doubt I'll get to it all... but I'll try! Maybe some personal issues can be cleared up, too. I'm pretty much doing fine, all things considered. Some friends have it rough though, and the sorting-out process has been pretty painful at times for them... hopefully things will get better over the weekend.

Old school music, but it's still damn good.

Anyway... still gotta finish up stats homework. Since Barry has pledges coming over at midnight I'm not gonna get any sleep anyway, so I can put that off long enough to write this post. AMD Athlon XP giveaway is in San Diego tomorrow at 7:00AM. I'm tempted to go, but class in the morning, plus a class at noon I can't skip, plus the $*&()@$*@_) awful traffic on the way back home to LA has killed that idea.

Midterms are done for now... pending grades... we'll see!

Got my cold air intake for my car today from Jet Hot. The satin Jet-hot 1300 is beautiful. Just need to reoil my K&N and I can install it this weekend, along with my Porterfield R4S brake pads and maybe my short throw shifter if I get really productive. =)

Just finished one major homework assignment, only two left. I'm feeling better... although there's that one midterm left. Mmmph. Back to work...

Rowr. I'm in a bad

Rowr. I'm in a bad mood... not getting the grades I was expecting on my most recent midterm and my one paper. Midterm grade is most distressing, because the class average was high. Just threw away 4.5% of my grade, if it's not curved... Argh! Paper grade is acceptable, but it's just a few points off because I forgot the bibliography! That really bugs me. Prof said "check your paper for comments", mine says "well done. thankyou" and now I am left wondering if the lack of a bibliography is the only reason my grade isn't higher. Grrrr.

Well, I'll see what news Wednesday brings. Last midterm and I should get one more midterm grade back, I hope, until the next set of midterms. F*cking pissed... so... well, off to finish homework and go study. Always more work to do...

Okay, so Saturday is now over, but I just got back from studying and watching Mallrats, so this is close enough! Katie, Jimmie, and whoever asked... it's just a song.

Female drama? None, sorry to disappoint. I haven't had time to sleep, much less do anything else during the week. (hmm... need to do homework, website updates including 4 sets of pictures, start an essay, switch the brake pads on my car, start a poster project, install the short throw shifter, catch up with the class readers I've ignored, fix my computer, fix my housing situation, talk to my academic counselor, etc. etc.)

Anyway, UCLA football continues their decline. You'd think our offense knew how to actually catch and hold on to a football. Argh. This is making going to the USC game increasingly depressing! Hmm... what else... Catching up on birthdays I'd forgotten. **embarassed** Yep... oops! Sent out a few belated birthday cards, too! Finally went running today for the first time in weeks. Felt good. Erik and I (and whoever else) needs to start doing this again, regularly. My current housing situation doesn't help my exercise schedule, but it shouldn't be an excuse to stop working out, either. Blah. Time for bed...
